Gel coat isn’t clear coat, and salt water isn’t road grime. We detail vessels from runabouts to yachts across Metro Vancouver marinas and boatyards — hull polishing, oxidation removal, teak care and ceramic coating — using marine-specific systems from Starke Yacht Care.
Marine Services
Dockside or on the hard, scheduled around your season.
Full Marine Detailing
Our complete vessel service — exterior wash and decontamination, topsides and superstructure, hull polish, brightwork, glass and cabin interior. Everything below in one scheduled visit, inside and out, dockside or on the hard.
Wash & Wax
Regular maintenance washing with marine-safe products, followed by wax or sealant. Keeps salt and contamination from bonding to the gel coat.
Hull Polishing & Oxidation Removal
Multi-stage cut and polish to bring chalked, faded gel coat back to gloss. The single biggest visual difference you can make to a vessel.
Marine Ceramic Coating
Long-term UV and salt protection that slows the oxidation cycle and makes seasonal washing dramatically easier.
Teak Treatment
Cleaning, brightening and sealing without the aggressive scrubbing that shortens deck life. Done properly, teak lasts decades.
Stainless & Brightwork
Polishing and protection for rails, hardware and fittings. Removes rust bloom and restores mirror finish.
Interior & Cabin
Upholstery, headliner, cabin surfaces and glass. Mildew treatment where needed.
Seasonal Programs
Scheduled maintenance through the season, plus pre-storage protection in the fall. Keeps the vessel presentable and slows long-term gel coat wear.
Pricing
Every vessel is quoted individually — length, freeboard, gel coat condition and access all affect the number.
Send us the make, model and marina and we’ll come back with a written quote — usually same day.

Booking Haul-Out Season Now
Wax and seal before winter storage, or polish the hull while she’s on the hard. September and October fill quickly — vessels left unprotected over winter oxidize faster and cost more to bring back in spring.
Request a Marine QuoteWhy Oxidation Matters
Oxidized gel coat isn’t just cosmetic. Once the surface chalks it becomes porous, holds contamination, and degrades faster each season. Polishing and sealing restores the finish and slows that cycle — which is why we recommend treating it before winter storage rather than after.
Marina & Insurance
We work at marinas and boatyards across Metro Vancouver. COI and WCB documentation available on request, usually within the hour.
Common Questions
Do you work dockside or only in the yard?
Both. Most maintenance and topside work happens dockside. Full hull polishing below the waterline needs the vessel hauled, so we schedule that around your haul-out.
Are you insured for marina work?
Yes — we carry commercial coverage including marine liability, plus WCB registration. Most marinas require both before allowing contractors on site, and we can send documentation the same day you ask.
How often should a hull be polished?
It depends on moorage, exposure and whether the vessel is coated. As a general guide, an uncoated hull in Vancouver benefits from polishing annually; a ceramic-coated hull can go considerably longer with maintenance washing in between.
Can you work while the boat is in the water?
Yes for topsides, superstructure, brightwork and interior. Anything below the waterline requires haul-out.
What products do you use?
Starke Yacht Care for gel coat and hull work, matched to the condition of the surface. We test-polish before committing to a compound and pad combination rather than running the same recipe on every vessel.
Do you do bottom paint?
No — bottom paint is a boatyard service and we’d rather point you to someone who does it properly than take work outside our lane.
